medQ, Inc. Announces Version 5.0 for Q/ris 3000 and New Product Modules

medQ, Inc., is very pleased to announce the upcoming introduction of the newest 5.0 version of our software(currently completing Beta). This is a feature rich update to our Q/ris 3000 workflow and will be available starting this month.

We are also introducing three new products that will be available as as optional modules:

DICOM or Tech entered Structured report (optional module) – a definite improvement in patient safety and radiologist productivity
·         Provides the capability to setup  specific structured reporting tables and have these tables automatically populated from the appropriate modality, including: US, Mammography, DEXA, CT and MRI. Data includes basic measurements and dose, contrast can be added manually.
·         This DICOM SR data can be reviewed and modified electronically by the technologist then forwarded to be automatically included in the radiologist’s macro.
·         In the absence of DICOM SR data a tech can enter this data directly via a PC or  tablet,  by manually filling a custom field that is used in a Radiologist’ macro.
·         This replaces a current manual process prone to error and eliminates the need for a Radiologist to re-dictate into their report from a sheet of paper.
·         This is available as an option to complete radiologists’ macros only when the Q/ris Report PLUS+ solution is used with, or without, the reading Services Module. It is available as part of the front end RIS where the data can be stored as part of the Patient History, but not sent to 3rd party dictation programs.

Patient Payment Estimator (optional module) – an improvement in cash collections that flow straight to the bottom line.
·   This application allows the creation of an automatic estimate of the cost of services to be provided to a patient. This allows you to accurately calculate the amount a patient owes before services are performed to allow the arrangement of payment up front rather than later in an expensive collection process.

Wound Care/CD Import/Film Handling option (optional module).  This module is a 3 in one that allows you to:

  1.  Scan in "Wound Care" or other JPEG images/documents which
are then converted to DICOM and sent to PACS as a study.
  2.  Import DICOM CDs/DVDs and sent to PACS as a study.
  3.  Create a ghost image for a film based study in PACS to place
on a reading worklist.  This allows radiologists to dictate non            PACS studies from their worklist.

One last note, time is running out on setting up an EHR.  Each radiologists is still eligible for $24,000 in CMS bonus money. This must be installed an functional by September 2014.  There is time, but you need to act now, please call for details- we currently have 17 of our sites and over 130 radiologists utilizing the system.
