AAPM Issues Statement On Safety Of Medical Imaging

The American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) issued a statement concerning the safety of radiation in medical imaging.
Medical imaging procedure's risks are low or non existent when administered appropriately . The public media’s sensational articles that low dose radiation may cause cancer and death may discourage patients from receiving necessary medical imaging procedures.
